Kerli commented on a Page, "!rsfact" Runescape Fact command for a bot  -  Apr 22, 2010

Maybe you should make them at home, or at least test them at home before posting them.

It's almost functional. I see bracket errors. Have you tested it?

Also, I noticed that you make a lot of simple $read snippets. You should try something a little different to expand your knowledge. At least try something completely original, even if you have to ask for help. ;D

Could work. I'll see if I can work on it soon. ;D

Well that's what I thought, but then you have to match the lines between the two documents, which I don't know how to do yet.

Thanks. I may revise this once I learn more ways to get information, like the real name.

Yeah... I really wanted to make it right, but I couldn't figure out a way to fix that part without directly writing the names in the txt.

Once I learn how to match lines between documents and things, I may revise this.

It seems $email is working...

I don't know. My mIRC sets a variable to $email. Also, the $site and $fulladdress would belong to whoever joined.

Strange, because it worked for me. When I use //echo $email it returns the email I put in the space for it before first connecting.

You mean it wouldn't set the info of who used the command?

...

Then tell me how to fix it. It works fine, so I don't see how it could be done wrong. I tried something different, since I was having no trouble with my previous snippets I posted.

This is a nice thing to add to an IRC bot or for any remote of yours. It will always check when a nick joins if they have changed something like their IP, email, etc. It will send these connections in a notice to all channel operators.

This is an original poll snippet complete with multiple join blocks, else lines to make it fail-safe, and a complete troubleshooting archive for all errors possible to receive. My longest and most in-depth code snippet ever, and 100% made by me. Not sure what else to say... So just have fun with it! :D

Works fine, it seems, but too simple. Really, it's just a welcome message with a $read for a txt document in it, which is far too easy to do. Especially since you didn't provide a txt document. But I like the command added so you can change it from IRC without having to dig into your bot's txt documents. Nice touch.

Anyhow, glad you're starting to learn more mIRC! ;D

Don't rules say over 25% of the snippet must be written by you? Not to mention, it seems like the poster is claiming this work as their own... >.>

notes use of "I" in description

I'm just curious, since all I could think of and more was already said above...

What do you mean when you say you look at Pastebin links?

This is a simple bot (preferably) birthday calendar snippet where you can record your birthday and search for someone else's birthday. I searched and couldn't find one like this, so... On an actual birthday, your bot (or you) will wish said person a happy birthday. I'm pretty sure the joining part is very redundant, but after trying, I couldn't fix that. :/

Um...

Hm. It works fine when I test it. Try ending a raffle. Otherwise, I don't know. .-.

EDIT:

Open the variables tab in the mIRC scripts editor and check to see if %raffle is set to 1.

It's a command identifier, since this is for a bot... Specifically, YourBot.

What do you mean nothing is setting them?

I never received an error. It seems you have the right setup...

Oh... Ah. I see. I think you have to create 'wsigentrants.txt' and 'wsigtips.txt' before you start. I'll see if I can change it so you don't.

EDIT:

Fixed.

This is a game where a certain channel user is selected to identify who said a certain phrase that was sent to your bot. Many features to keep this script as fail-safe as possible. Keep in mind that no nick changes should occur among entrants of the game, and always be sure to play the game in the right order, even though I put blocks in for that. My first complex script I did without any help.

This is a simple bot raffle code snippet, and my first code snippet posted on Hawkee. All channel members may start a raffle, and only they and the bot's master can end it. Many features to keep this script very user-friendly. Thanks to |Anthony| on Chat-Addict for a lot of help on this script, especially the method of policing those who join raffles multiple times. **Note that your bot should have..
