"/sajoin" protection script

By Jonesy44 on Feb 04, 2009

Simply enough, protects you from sajoin abuse.
As soon as you are "force joined" to a channel it is enabled for 30secs. any channels during that 30secs you are forced to join, you will part.

You can disable it during it's 30seconds by double clicking the popup.

on *:SNOTICE:*You were forced to join*: {
  if (%sajoin.part) { part $7 }
  else { noop $tip(Sajoin,Sajoin protection,Sajoin protection has been enabled for 30 seconds $+ $crlf $+ Double click to disable,30,,,unset %sajoin.part) }
  set -u30 %sajoin.part 1
}

on one network i go to this would fail miserably. its a good script but they have a channel that if they sajoin you to it you can't leave it it auto makes you join back for when your a bad chatter and they dont feel like killing/gzlining you they put you into quarantine

Well guys its good script for none-opers. but i am talking about a addon like. if someone sajoin+sapart me more than 3 times in 10 secs. i will kill him or sajoin+sapart him also as punishment. this is possible. if i am not mistaken it will take 4-5 mins. lolz but unfortunately i don't have much knowledge about the language. is there anyone who can make it for me ?.

i tried it with spencer sending me to #1-10 i think. it crashed for about 1 sec and then was fine, as soon as the script kicks in the first time it's ok. just the "shock" kills it lol

with a script like what i posted http://www.hawkee.com/snippet/4950/

this could be a serious test and an example demonstrating if the script works or not. for a normal sajoin then yes, this works a treat. with something like what i submitted... ummm grab your tin hats gentlemen, this could be a bumpy ride lol...
gets a nice thumping 8 and a like from me :)

No it doesnt...SVSJOIN and SVSPART command to operserv,and you can add silent to it which overides snotice.

does svsjoin not issue the snotice?

 Respond
Warrior1968   -  Feb 08, 2009

This is a neat Idea.. but SVSJOIN can over ride that..:p

PunkTuReD Asked:

a question,
if a ircop makes you join #1-100
but the server limit for channels is 10
do you join extra channels?

Yes you do.

i was sajoined to #1-100 and it managed ok, yes, it did die a bit. but it meant i didn't have to close down each channel :P
