Hawkee, why is it that code posted in PM being displayed vertically now instead of horizontally as before? This makes it illegible, especially when you copy and paste it directly into mIRC remote, it generates blank hard spaces. It's troublesome too to have to reconstruct them in order.
Is this an intentional change or bug when you've updated and revamped the website to begin with?
When you've posted a code on the forum, you'll notice there's an added space as shown:Then when you've copied, pasted and saved the code in mIRC remote, it becomes like this:As you can see those circles I marked in red. There should be no space between line 6 and the closing curly bracket. Once saved with the space in mIRC remote, the code may cause an error and become unworkable.
Hawkee, I've realized, after the recent revamp of the website, that when you post a code using the code tags and then clicking "Select All," a tab space gets generated at the very end. This is not good because when a newbie copies and pastes the code onto his or her mIRC remote without editing out, the tab space will result a malformed code and error upon executing it.
@Hawkee When trying to post at the forum, I receive this error:> Status

@Hawkee Hawkee, we've had a spammer named sulfina post something about "erectile dysfunction" here at:

@Hawkee In case you haven't noticed I have hardly replied to any recent trolls you've made. You have been abusing Hawkee's comment feature as your own personal realm, where those comments could have been made at the forum. I'm not sure whether you do this on purpose to get more hits from people's responses to your so-called "shoot," or you believe that by posting your "shoot" at the forum, people will not pay attention to you. You have a little insecurity issue deep down.
@Hawkee Hawkee, we have a detrimental troll alabama here with serious issues. I though I was bad enough. This is by far very intolerable, uncomfortable, and difficult to read comments with his diehard trolling mischief. The more people feed him, the stronger he becomes. I hope you see what he's been behaving and get him banned accordingly to ensure the rest of us a peace of mind.
@FelicianoX MakiMaki, If I was being rude to you, I'd have shown it in a most conspicuous way possible. It's not my style to hide behind a curtain and shoot you in the back. You were being oversensitive about my comments. Didn't you tell me that my suggestion was invalid and would fail? I wouldn't have suggested something to you if I didn't know what I was talking about.
Sure, there are times I may make an oversight, and I kindly accept that and will then correct my say to make it right. I never see you as stupid. This is all in your head. In fact, my aim to comment on people snippets is to exchange ideas and learn from one another.
All I can say is, it's too bad you proceed my comments as being discourteous in your mind. You gotta live it up a little.
Pardon me, FelicianoX, for hijacking your thread for a topic as such.
@FelicianoX FelicianoX, your English is understandable and fairly written. ^^
I just don't get why some people will post their work without the understanding toward constructive and destructive criticism.
Some of them delete comments because they can't bear the thought you've spotted the fallacy and redundancy in their code. Then when you ask them why, they come back at you cursing you with bad stuffs that you can't imagine.
Those people shouldn't bother posting their work at a social networking site. It's a waste of time for those who actually take time to review their work.
What a shame, eh?
@FelicianoX FelicianoX, you'd better be careful about your comment regarding to MakiMaki's snippet. if he finds your comment unacceptable to his standard, he'll delete it.
I did make a couple of constructive ones about the use of if-then-else, rather than if and another check for if and elseif, along with my suggestion of including a @ prefix to the text event earlier. Out of the blue, he deleted all of my comments for no reason. I know I was right, and he couldn't budge with his embarrassment.
The local variable can be used to refer to the global one, FelicianoX, but it's really needless in this case of MakiMaki's. About including the dynamic variable in the match text, from my experience, it won't work that way. You have to use an if statement for comparison. I do know that it's possible to use a variable as a trigger with $(). You can take it for a spin to find out for sure.
I hope you don't mind I bump your profile thread for my comment.
@Hawkee You said, "LQ" do you mean by low quality or something? I don't see the correlation between "LQ" and the "removal of scoring."
Actually, to think of it, it doesn't have to be removed, but it'll have to be addressed on account of its flaw. I'll say make the scoring fair and "non-exploitable" in a way that it can't be given a low rating if a snippet's score has been rated highly, or a reason MUST be stated why you want to give a low point. Once a rating is submitted, it shouldn't be changed, or it should act as the like feature, whereas you either remove your scoring or stick with it.
All that aside, I wouldn't build myself up as being "HQ." We have to remember that nobody is perfect and we can't use "HQ" or "LQ" to measure each and every one of us.
@Hawkee Hawkee, may you consider removing the score rating feature you have in the next site upgrade? It is seriously flawed. The scoring is nothing but a joke, and is almost served as a vindictive, abusive tool to retaliate another member. Keep the like vote, as it's a must-have feature that won't be tampered with. Thank you.
