So far I'm only going to use the menu icon for our mobile layout. I'm still rather attached to our current icon set.

Will the mobile layout change the navigation menu? If it did, I believe it would be a good thing as it is impossible to access items after 'Profile' when zoomed in - on my mobile, at least.

Yes, it will change entirely. The menu and search box will collapse into icons so everything will always fit across the top. I'm testing on resolutions as low as 320px wide.

I prefer to stick to a single icon library for the sake of consistency. Iconfinder tends to offer a lot of older looking icons.

sometimes even if you change old patterns of icons in the right way can become new ideas. Of course for those who edit the code... graphics is the most annoying to deal with LoL
